Who’s the Hypocrite?

by Chris Spangle ~ March 6th, 2009

Apparently, Steve Buyer went on Garrison’s show today, and almost called Evan Bayh a hypocrite…

This cartoon reminds me of Steve Buyer, who voted for President’s Bush’s bailout, but not President Obama’s stimulus:

Don’t pick an choose when to exercise your principles, Steve. Federal handouts are wrong, or they aren’t.

I congratulate Evan Bayh on actually helping kill the $410 omnibus bill. With Bayh, at least we know we are getting a big spender, with occasional moments of clarity.

With Buyer and Lugar, these “fiscal conservatives” sat down when we free marketers needed them to stand up. Their right to criticise on economic issues have been revoked. In the Indiana delegation, only Pence and Burton have a slim credibility.

My first vote for a Democrat (ever) was for Nels Ackerson for this very reason.

P.S. Senate Democrats are considering punishing Feingold and Bayh for their opposition to the omnibus bill. http://tinyurl.com/8xc8dp. Sounds familiar. hypocrisy

P.S.S. Steve Buyer voted “present” today on a vote that would have “would have frozen federal spending at current levels and stripped the 9,000 un-reviewed earmarks from the $410,000,000,000.00 omnibus spending bill.

Even Donnelly and Ellsworth voted Yay on that.

The only problem is that the Omnibus will return in another form and Bayh WILL vote for it, all the while touting his resistance of (the first one) it. No one will remember that he eventually voted FOR it when the next election comes around. Seems to be status quo in federal "representation" anymore.

I kinda get the image of Bayh rubbing his hands like Montgomery Burns on the Simpsons....and he's reciting "oohh, I thought I'd have to wait 8 years"
  • Buyer is a tool.
