Family Tombstones

Photos 1 - 54 out of 54 | Back to Albums
These are my Dad's Dad's parents. These are my Dad's Mom's parents. As you can see, they lived until 1997, so I have many fond memories of "Ga" and "Dads." My middle name, Miles, is in honor of "Dads." This is where Ga and Dad's are buried, and where I will also be buried.
This is from the Cemetery where the Spangle's are buried. It's located in Knox County Indiana. Many of the tombstones are written in German from immigrants who moved here in the middle of the 1800's. The next few photos are from this cemetery.
This album, and the next album, are from this cemetery. My Grandma's family's surname was Risley. As you can see, they moved to this area in the late 1700's, fought in the Civil War, WW1, WW 2, and Vietnam. Very Cool to know that your family roots go back
The black headstone is that of my great-grandparents.
Jessica checking out the family.
Great Great Great Cousin, lol.
George is my Great-Great Grandpa, and Dads's Dad. Ollie was his mom.

Description: Some family tombstones. Morbid, I know, but this is more for my family then friends. I know it's weird, but It's sort of cool to see that you have family members who fought in the Civil War. All these are on my Dad's side. My Grandma's family is the Risleys, and my Grandpa's family, obviously, were the Spangles.
Location: Southern Indiana - Knox County
